Adventure Stages (Best: Unrecorded History West Taranor World, Stage 9-5 Broken Sword Ruins) AP Exchange Shops (Recommended Source) Catalyst Chests Events Guild Member Shop Guild Aid

If you want to accumulate enough Small Sun Badges to go around then this guide has you covered.

Method 1: Adventure Stages (Stage 9-5)

Clearing the Adventure Stage shown in the image above may give you a decent amount of Small Sun Badges if you’re willing to grind a long time for them. This is because unlike most drops in the game, Catalysts in general have very low drop rates. You can farm other stages that feature Small Sun Badges as drops, but farming Stage 9-5 Broken Ruins in the Prologue Chapter of Adventure Mode will be the most efficient. TIP: You’re going to need a lot of Stamina and patience if you want to make Adventure Stages your sole source of Small Sun Badges. This is exactly why you should bring Pets that can increase your AP acquisition rate, as doing so will improve your farming efficiency significantly.

Method 2: AP Exchange Shops (Best Method)

AP Exchange Shops will be your best bet if you want a reliable and consistent way of farming not just Small Sun Badges, but also all kinds of Catalysts in general. You can buy Catalysts from AP Exchange Shops once you’ve accumulated enough Adventure Points (AP), which you get after clearing stages within specific regions. The best AP Exchange Shop to buy these badges from is the one in 9-1 West Taranor World. This is because the best Adventure stage for farming Small Sun Badges is also located there. TIP: Exchange Shops refresh their stocks once every seven days, so make sure you have what you need before the end of every week. Remember that each region has different AP Exchange Shops and thus have different items for sale. Also, your accumulated Adventure Points do not carry over to other regions.

Method 3: Rare Catalyst Chests

Need a Catalyst as soon as possible? Just go over to your Inventory and check if you have any Rare Catalyst Chests stored in there! They’re by far the best source of Small Sun Badges (and other Catalysts for that matter) for players who don’t want to grind Adventure Stages for hours just to upgrade a Skill. Also, be sure to check for any promotional and seasonal events as they often give away Catalyst Chests. TIP: Unfortunately, Catalyst Chests — especially Epic ones — are very hard to come by. So use them as sparingly as you can.

Method 4: Story Events

Story Events are not only fun and packed with free Skystones, Molas, and Gold. They also provide you with a steady influx of Rare and Epic Catalysts! In fact, you can even get Catalyst Chests as Reputation Rewards in addition to pure Catalysts as buyable items in the Event Currency Exchange Shop. Pretty neat, huh? All you need to do is farm Event Stages as often as you can for Event Currencies. Generally, the harder the stage you farm, the faster you’ll be able to buy those Catalysts in the Exchange Shop. TIP: If you’re looking for Small Sun Badges specifically, you may not find them often in the Event Currency Exchange Shop simply because the available items in the shop vary per Event. On that note, always check if the Catalyst you require is featured in this shop. They’re fairly easy to farm — especially if you also bring along Pets that increase your Event Currency acquisition rate.

Method 5: Guild Member Shop

Even for solo players, joining a Guild is highly advisable simply because of the numerous perks you get just from being a part of one. For example, as a Guild Member, you get to buy all sorts of valuable items and materials in the Guild Member Shop like Catalyst Chests in exchange for Guild Currencies. TIP: The stock of items in this shop also resets once per seven days, so be sure to get as many Catalyst Chests as you can per week. You can do this by simply clearing Guild Missions, being an active player, and most importantly — donating every single day. Try not to skip donating even once!

Method 6: Guild Aid

If you’re in a Guild that explicitly forbids requesting Catalysts as donations, Guild Aid should be your last resort if you want some Small Sun Badges. Of course, feel free to request all the Small Sun Badges you want if your Guild allows requesting Rare Catalysts! Just keep in mind that you can only request up to two Catalysts through the Aid function per day. So you still might have to refer to the other sources above if you need some more. TIP: You can only change the chosen Aid item once a full day has passed so pick what item you want to receive for the day wisely. Also, if you often find yourself requesting Catalysts via the Aid function, remember to give back to your guildmates and donate some Catalysts as well.
